Remote X11 display on Windows machines

Xming X Server for Windows is required to open display from your remote *nix host.

X11 packages are required on remote machine

Following settings may or may not be required on the remote machine to X11 to work over ssh

/etc/ssh/sshd_conf ~~or ~/.ssh/config~~

ForwardX11Trusted yes
X11DisplayOffset 10
X11UseLocalhost yes

Putty Configuration -> Category: -> Connection -> SSH -> X11 -> Check “Enable X11 forwarding”

Type in $ xclock in putty to see if a graphical clock opens on Windows machine running Xming
